Holy Spirit Baptism

stack of Bibles

Holy Spirit baptism is manifested by the speaking in tongues. The Holy Spirit baptism is prayers that speak God’s language. God wants us to talk to Him. In prayer we can communicate our wants, need and desires. If you don’t really have anything to pray for, then offer up praise and thanksgiving. That should be done every day regardless. Pray in the Spirit. Most times while praying in the Spirit it has been revealed what I should pray for. Praying in the Spirit is a special language between you and God only.

If you have not prayed in the Spirit – practice. Simply give your voice over to the Holy Spirit. Say so. It usually starts with groans. You must begin the process – make a sound and lift up your hands and in your head praise God over and over. Allow your voice to utter the Holy Spirit’s language. Once you realize that you have to be willing and give utterance to your voice it becomes easier.

I use to think that speaking in tongues meant I would be overpowered by the Holy Spirit. For years I would pray and wait – for the Holy Spirit to overtake me. The other tongues never manifested. It was when I realized that I had to consciously give sound to my voice that it happened. The Holy Spirit is gentle and He will not force Himself. But by giving sound to my voice and praising God in my head – actively seeking speaking in tongues – it happened. And an easy flowing language was born. One that only God knows.

It’s such a release to pray in the Spirit if you don’t quite know what to pray for. There can be situations that you need to pray for and don’t quite know what to pray. The Holy Spirit always knows what to pray. Give yourself over to Him and the prayer will always be right.

Give you thoughts to God as well. Any thought that brings on anxiety or uneasiness is not from God and should be wept out. Having a peaceful and positive mind is the will of God. Make up your mind to be renewed daily.

Wake up each morning with a shout of praise to God. Read aloud from the Bible. Psalm 91 is a good day starter. And pray and study the Word as much as you can through the day. And always end your day with prayer and reading aloud from the word. Psalm 23 is a good one I like. Read through the Bible you will find many good passages to start and end each day on.

Of course, there will be some days that will be busier than others doing things outside of studying. But always make time at least at the start and end of your day with a little Bible reading and praying. You will find that if you are willing to give time to God then He will increase the length of your days.

Don’t let a day go by without praying in the Spirit and in your voice. Read aloud from the Bible. You will find that as you do, your life will become more and more victorious. Press on and receive the Holy Spirit baptism today!

A Word for You

This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.
John 3:16 (The Message Bible)

Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling— even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
