God and the Angels

What does the Bible say about God and the angels? That we should choose our words carefully.
stack of Bibles
The angels listen and report to God everything we say.

Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost send down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. 1 Peter 1:12 KJV

Psalm 103:20 KJV – Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

That proves that they listen for God’s word, and obey. That God and the angels work together for our benefit.

God gave them charge over us. For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psalm 91:11 KJV So they protct us. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest though dash thy foot against a stone. Psalm 91:12 KJV As long as we are heirs of salvation.

They appear to us from time to time. Only we probably didn’t know it. Another good reason to watch our words and actions. We never know when we’re standing in the midst of an angel. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2 KJV. Wow! We may have entertained angels. What a wonderful thing!

A not so wonderful angel is Satan. Yes he is/was an angel. Him and all the demons were once angels. Angels who fell. Satan’s number one weapon is deception. Satan can appear to us as a beautiful angel, filling our ears with lies. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into and angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14 KJV. If an angel appears to you, how do you know if the angel is from God? You ask them who Jesus Christ is. Satan and his followers will not admit that Jesus is the Son of God. That’s how you know.

Also, you need to prove everything an angel says. A true angel of God will speak only that which can be proved in the Holy Bible. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8 KJV

Angels are all around us, everywhere we go. Speak only that which is in agreement with the Word and walk in the Spirit. The angels report to God what we do and say, but in the end we will judge our angels. Yes, we will be the ones to judge our angels. Know ye not that we shall judge angels? How much more thing that pertain to this life? 1 Corinthiand 6:3 KJV

So, then if we are to judge our angels, don’t you imagine that they too watch what they do? They are doing the best job they can because I’m sure they want a good judgment, just like we do.

Don’t discount your angels. They are here, though we can’t see them. (Well, most of the time we can’t see them.) They are our protectors, helpers, doing that which we speak, bringing life to our words. It’s important, very important, to choose our words carefully and thoughtfully, knowing that the angels listen and obey.

I’m glad to know that I have thousands of angels, just for me. And especially for my children. What a blessing God and the angels are to us. And what a treasure it is to discover this truth for ourselves.

A Word for You

This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.
John 3:16 (The Message Bible)

Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling— even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
